In recent days, Labour has been trying to ride the wave of attacks on Boris Johnson. Yet, yesterday, Labour had a massive blow to their credibility after it was found that Labour’s MP Barry Gardiner had accepted £500,000 from a suspected Communist Chinese Party Agent.
When asked if he spoke about UK Energy to the Chinese agent when he was in charge of energy policy in Labour, he said yes I did but “not in great detail”. When pressed on what the Chinese agent got in return for such large sums of money being given, he didn’t have an answer. Though the media call upon Boris to resign, it’s the Labour Party that now needs to be investigated after their MP accepted large amounts of foreign money.
