Iain Duncan Smith slams the General after saying the Taliban should be given a chance.

After General Nick Carter said the Taliban should be given a chance, Iain Duncan Smith decided to hit out during an interview on LBC.

The Former Conservative Party Leader didn’t hold back, saying though the General said we the U.K. Government should give the Taliban a chance, the Taliban will not “Change its Spots”.

When asked about the comment the General made last week, Iain Duncan Smiths responded, saying: “I didn’t make much of it, I’ll be honest with you.”

“I thought it was peculiar – what are we giving the Taliban time to do?”

He continued: “I’ve got a woman we’ve finally got through who got a punishment beating from the Taliban.”

“This is not a leopard that is about to change its spots; it is a brutal, intolerant organisation that’s already been carrying out arbitrary executions and punishment beatings.”

“I’m not sure what General Carter thinks we need to give them time to prove – I think they’ve already proven who they are.”

Britannia News Comment: It’s incredible how the narrative has changed from the Taliban being the enemy of the west to now being encouraged to give the Taliban a chance. This must be soul-destroying for those who have lost limbs and loved ones only to hear the general encouraging politicians to give the Taliban a chance.

Yet again, I feel this rhetoric from the government is a weak ploy and plays into the hands of our enemies who may never again take us as a serious world power.
