With the RNLI coming out today with a video showing them picking up law-breaking migrants from the Channel, Ben Habib has accused the RNLI of aiding and abetting criminal activity.
On Twitter, Ben said: “Migrants seeking to enter the UK from France are acting illegally. They are not asylum seekers fleeing danger. They are illegal economic migrants. They choose to make the trip.”
“In assisting them, no matter how noble the intention, RNLI is aiding and abetting criminal activity.”
This reaction from politicians and the public is down to the fact that none of the illegal migrants are being returned to France, instead they are all taxied into Britain. People are also unhappy to find when they do touch British soil, they are instantly entities to benefits.
Many quite rightly say that we have Ex-Forces living on the streets, yet there is no instant help for them to be safe under a roof without begging for money first.
As the months have gotten warmer, with calmer seas, the increase in illegal crossings aided by the French Navy and British Border Force, assisted by the RNLI has been documented.
This has seen an increase in their supporters getting angry, questioning why they are doing the job of the UK Border Force. Sadly this has had a knock-on effect with some stopping their monthly donations to the RNLI Charity.
