The EU is continuing to gun for Hungary after the Hungarian Parliament passed a law that banned LGBTQ content from being taught in schools.
This move by Hungary has angered other EU member states who support such content being taught to young children in schools.
The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has come out slamming Hungary and asking for their position in the EU to be called into question.
The Dutch PM said: “For me, Hungary has no place in the EU anymore.”
“But, unfortunately, in the system that we have, I can’t do it on my own, but [with] 26 other member states saying: ‘You have to leave.’
“This has to happen step by step, and, in the meantime, you hope that they will adapt.”
This move by the EU shows that they aim to make sure all member states fall in line with one EU policy. If you disagree as a nation, you’re thrown out of the EU. This looks like the EU is trying to streamline to achieve their aim of a United States of Europe.
