Next week, the Home Secretary, Priti Patel, is revealing new immigration plans that will contain ways of protecting Britain’s borders from illegal immigration.
The new reforms have been long-awaited, especially now we are outside the EU. The new plans contain an Australian style approach to those who break into Britain illegally.
Those who enter Britain illegally will be held off the shores of Britain and possibly in third countries. The Times suggest the centres will be held on islands around the Scottish shores, the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea and British overseas territory Gibraltar. Third countries such as Denmark could also be an option if deals go well.
Today it was reported by a BBC reporter that 72 migrant were sent back to France after their boats got in trouble while trying to make the illegal trip across the channel to Britain.
