The SNP Westminster leader has sent a letter to the UK Chancellor begging for more money.

Ian Blackford said: “Tories left people on the scrapheap and caused lasting scars on our communities by failing to act.”

“We know Covid restrictions will still be with us for some time, so it is crucial that the Chancellor extends the furlough scheme and plugs the gaps in support to ensure that no-one is left behind.

“The SNP has repeatedly raised the plight of the three million people who have been completely excluded from Covid support, including many self-employed and freelance workers who haven’t been given any help by Westminster.

“After a year of excuses, the Chancellor must finally act.

“Above all, this should be a Budget that invests in growth and meets the huge scale of the challenge we face.”

After these remarks, a UK Government source hit back, saying: “There are signs here that Scotland needs cash. Ian Blackford clearly doesn’t listen, especially after we’ve given them more than £1 billion to help recover from COVID-19 this week.”

The SNP kick the UK government in the teeth every chance they get. Why when they want more money should they be listened to?

Ask Sturgeon where she has squired away the monies that have already been sent for the Scottish people. Just as a thought HOW are these idiots going even thinking about being ‘Independent’ if they constantly needing the English tax payer to bail them out? Personally I would not send another penny until they have given a FULL audit of the monies that have already been sent!

Maybe wee cranky should ask her pals the EU for money if the Billion pounds already given by the goverment isn’t enough

Tell the SNP to send the begging letter to their beloved EU as a reward for flying the EU flag from Scottish government buildings.
