The City of London has been told to Ignore Frankfurt and Paris by the CEO of Barclays.
The CEO of Barclays, Jes Staley, didn’t hold back saying the City of London should forget about France and Germany instead focus on the rest of the world. The Barclays CEO said Britains departure from the EU is more “on the positive side”.
The CEO spoke to the BBC saying: “I think Brexit is more than likely on the positive side than on the negative side.
“What the UK needs and London needs, is to make sure that the City is one of the best places, whether it is in terms of regulation or law or language, or talent.
“What London needs to be focused on is not Frankfurt or not Paris; it needs to be focused on New York and Singapore.”
With these positive comments, it’s clear with the UK out of the EU, the UK needs to focus elsewhere defining our own course and become a world-beating success in finance and other industries.
