BACKFIRED – British fisherman stands his ground as the media try to push the guilt trip over the French fishermen losing jobs?

With Boris Johnson pulling the plug on the EU negotiations yesterday, the Pro EU news outlets were trying to make out the British fishermen are cold hearted for wanting the Britain fishing industry to thrive after decades of deterioration and neglect.

A reporter from channel 4 asked John Clarke, who’s a skipper on the reliance three if he feels guilty over the french losing jobs to which the British skipper said I have no sympathy whatsoever.

The reporter asked: “There are tens of thousands of fishermen on the other side of the English Channel who are terrified about losing their livelihood.”

To which Johns the Skipper replied: “I don’t feel any sympathy for them. They’ve had a good run for 40 years. When UK boats were being dismantled and broken up, these guys were building new boats and allowed to fish in our waters, so I have no sympathy for those guys whatsoever.”

  1. I totally agree with this man they go on and on about oh woe are we , but did not give a jot about the British fishermen when the restrictions we were given totally finished our fishing workforce . W hat comes around goes around . Have a penneth of what we have had to swallow . Not nice is it. !!!!

    1. I watched Sky news pro EU stance on fishing..l do agree the Msm..are very EU biased.
They have had a good run 45 years…we the UK have got our waters back..The big factory ships will be no no…ecological
Uk fishing, start of a new era..
      Thanks to Boris 😁👍

    2. Absolutely agree 100%. The eu have decimated our fishing industry our ecosystem with their giant trawlers and pulse fishing and turned our coastal communities into ghost towns.. The gravy train stops now. Let’s look after our fish stocks and allow them to recover and rebuild our offshore and onshore fishing industry. Build new boats, create jobs. Do not allow the eu anything other than annual licences with strict quotas. Limit their boat sizes and ban pulse fishing and small hole nets. If they break the rules withdraw their permit immediately.

  2. I totally agree with this fisherman. The French & the rest of the EU countries have had the monopoly over our waters for far too long (40 years). The French think that they rule the roost but unfortunately the tide has turned & now the French fisherman are going to suffer because the fault lies at Macron’s feet. In a way I feel sorry for the French fisherman that they are going to go through a tough period. Our fisherman have had to start from scratch, rebuild their boats etc. I also don’t trust the Mainstream Marxist Media at all as they are all for the EU & very are very negative & biased against the people in the UK.

  3. The French had no sympathy for the British as huge numbers lost their livelihoods back in the 1970s. Why does this left wing so called reporter expect us to have any sympathy for the French who will lose their jobs. Macron can pay them to dismantle their boats. They have their own waters that will support their fishermen, Why did they think it was okay to take the jobs of our fishermen by raiding other countries waters? If they want fish from our waters, they can trade with us. We don’t walk into their vineyards and nick their grapes do we? Imagine how they would react if we did. Well we will react the same way if they try to start a fishing war with us. We need to upgrade our motor torpedo boat fleet to ward off any threat.

  4. I agree totally, the problem is going to be inforcing it however.. I wholeheartedly believe the EU and specially the French will continue to fish our waters.

  5. We need a bigger navy and a more aggressive stance on defending our interests. Let’s hope for no deal and 100% control. It’s clear now that any deal with the EU risks being a one-sided sellout.
