Brexiteer Brendan Chilton hits back saying: “The withdrawal agreement was nonsense”

With the UK still adhering EU rules due to being in a transition period, Usual Von Der Leven, European Union Commission President has issued Boris a deadline. Ursula has said she’s giving Boris three weeks to remove the Internal Market Bill if Britain wants a trade deal with the EU.

Bin the withdrawal agreement.

With this being said and it provoked many reactions from Brexiteers, especially prominent Labour Leave supporters. In an interview with the Express newspaper, the Brexiteers and Labour Councillor Brendan Chilton hit back saying: “The withdrawal agreement was nonsense under [former Prime Minister]Theresa May.

“It is nonsense now. “We need to tear it up. “The whole negotiations were meant to operate under one principle: ‘nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.’ “That is a phrase we remember. “Well, we haven’t agreed on a future relationship, and if we can’t get a deal, the UK should say that the withdrawal agreement doesn’t stand.
“It should say that we will operate on WTO terms and then in the future, we will negotiate a deal. “You have to be hard in the negotiations when it comes to the EU.” “For the EU, this moment is critical. “They cannot allow a former member state to leave and appear to be better off outside the union than they would be within. “If that happens, that is just flicking the domino and rest will fall. They are not gonna be easy to us.” What’re your thoughts on this? Should we just rip up the withdrawal deal?

  1. We should have never signed the Leash Agreement. It was never designed to let us actually leave.
Better to use the “Nothing is agreed till everything is agreed” philosophy that May kept spouting.
    Rip the WA up.
