FINALLY THE MESSAGE HAS LANDED – Mr Singham states EU has backed down, after previously demanding the UK adhere to its state aid rules.

Today, questions were asked around accusations that Great Britain broke international law due to introducing the Internal Market Bill. During the Future relationship with the European Union Committee meeting, Steven Kinnock asked Shanker Singham if Britain Broke international law with introducing the Internal Market Bill.

Steven Kinnock asked Shanker Singham question
Mr Singham said:” I don’t understand why Brandon Lewis said what he said about that( Britain is breaking international law) I don’t see that this is a violation of international law because it gives ministers powers that would not be exercised except in the event of no trade deal. Those Powers haven’t been used yet.”
When asked whether threatening this change in the withdrawal agreement has increased chances of the UK gaining a deal with the EU?, Mr Singham went on to say that this move has undoubtedly made the EU listen to the UK, as by introducing this Bill shows the UK means what it says. The movement we are now seeing from the EU means the message has finally landed.

This comes after months of Lord Frost expressing that Britain will not be extending past the years end deadline, nor will it be adhering, singing up to EU controlled laws and rules post-transition period. As an independent state, the UK will be making its own rules and its own laws.
Above, is the full video showing Mr Kinnock’s question and answer from Shanker Singham.
