After last nights first-round win on the Internal Market Bill, Iain Duncan Smith has come out in support of the Governments Bill saying I’m the only ex-leader in the Tory party who is in total support of this Bill and why the Government is doing all it can to counter this threat coming from the EU.
IDS said the Government under Boris understands this threat coming from the EU and is doing its best to counter their extreme interpretation of the Withdrawal Agreement. IDS said the UK could not carry on being bullied by the EU in these negotiations; this is why Internal Market Bill is so vital as it shuts down the threats being pushed by the EU to manipulate the outcome of the trade talks.
It’s clear to see the EU are incredibly nervous about this Bill passing in Parliament, this is why their EU lackey’s in Parliament have come out in full support behind the pushed EU narratives in the Mainstream Media. It’s not as if the EU is squeaky clean in regards to obeying International law. Yet, the EU is never questioned about its track record by its supporters in the UK.
In a tweet, the EU negotiator said: “Protocol on IE/NI is not a threat to the integrity of the UK. We agreed this delicate compromise with @BorisJohnson & his gov in order to protect peace & stability on the island of Ireland. We could not have been clearer about the consequences of sticking to facts is also essential. A case in point: 🇪🇺 is not refusing to list 🇬🇧 as a third country for food imports (SPS). To be listed, we need to know in full what a country’s rules are, incl for imports. The same objective process applies to all listed countries.Henry Bolton responded, saying: “You know perfectly well what food standards the UK applies.
“The EU hasn’t said what theirs will be ‘in future’. Indeed they’ve reserved the right to change them in future.”
