EU threatens to walk from today’s trade negotiations in protest over Britain rewriting key parts of the withdrawal agreement.

With Britain rewriting the withdrawal agreement fine print, it’s said that Barnier is extremely unhappy by the move. Barnier is so disappointed he has threatened to walk from tomorrow’s negotiations round in protest. This is due to Britain finally standing up against a political entity, who wanted Britain to be a satellite state of the EU, in control of a nation who would be legally subservient to the EU even after the transition period.

The mood changed between the two sides when Britain took the nuclear option and completely changed the game with rewriting key parts of the withdrawal agreement. This would push the EU out of the affairs of Britain post-Brexit. This change was down to David’s Frost orders backed by Boris.

Even though Barnier is unhappy with this change in events, Boris is standing firm, refusing to drop the new changes, this now gives Britain the upper hand on today’s negotiations, held in London.

Barnier’s spokesperson said: “While we are determined to reach an agreement with the UK, the EU will be ready in the event of a no-deal scenario to trade with the UK on World Trade Organisation terms as of January 1,”

Other EU figures where left shocked: “I’m shocked. That’s not how you deal with negotiating partners. I haven’t seen anything like it in decades.”

He added: “We will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed. There were signs that the joint political declaration for Boris Johnson was not worth the paper it was on. Now he’s said it.

However, the worry in Northern Ireland is over jurisdiction. According to the Institute for Government, “UK authorities will be responsible for implementing EU law in this area” and “it will remain subject to the European Court of Justice”. This is said to “avoid the introduction of a hard border on the island of Ireland in the event that there is a no-deal Brexit”.

“Boris Johnson is thus turning the negotiations up to now and the serious efforts of the European Union into a farce.”

Even EU Commission President, Ursula von def Leyen left a remark saying: “I trust the British Government to implement the Withdrawal Agreement, an obligation under international law and a prerequisite for any future partnership,”

“If they undermine the Withdrawal Agreement while we are still negotiating our future partnership, it would be blatantly clear a contract signed by the UK Government is not worth the paper it is written on.
“Undermining an international treaty would reverberate beyond the negotiations for years to come. It would do undue damage to the UK and cripple them as a contracting partner.

“If the UK is going full North Korea mode, into isolation, then this fits the pattern. But I cannot see global Britain pursuing this route, which is incomprehensible given the kind of country it is and aspires to be – let’s wait and see.”

As David Frost goes into the negotiation rounds Today, he said: “Today, I will sit down with Michel Barnier and drive home our clear message that we must make progress this week if we are to reach an agreement in time.

“We have now been talking for six months and can no longer afford to go over well-trodden ground. We need to see more realism from the EU about our status as an independent country.

“As we have done from the beginning in public and in private, I will reinforce our simple, reasonable request for a free trade agreement based on those the EU has signed before with like-minded partners.

  1. Since when does the EU have the authority to say that immigrants have the right to go into a country where they r not wanted. The country in question (ENGLAND)? It is every country in the world right to have the say. EU IS THINKING THEY R VERY POWERFUL (new world at it).

    1. No country can over ride a countries choice they dont have the power and least of all No Power over Great Britain.

If our doors are closed they are CLOSED 😡 what part dont they understand🙄

  2. Simple , let’s get away from this blood sucking community and be English again, independent self governing nation , will be out salvation Rule Britannia 🇬🇧

  3. The EU have finally had their bluff called. They continually redefine what an agreement us, temporary akways becomes permanent and the European Court is just a nodding dog. Whatever happened to nothing is agreed until everything is agreed? Time to walk.

  4. Threat after threat after threat. That’s not negotiation, that’s akin to nazism.
Barmier (typo intended) still thinks he’s the king pin and can issue demands and threats at will. Who would ever want to make an agreement with that bully boy.

Leave means leave and let the stew in their own juice.

  5. Get us out, ASAP, we don’t need to be told what to do, take our borders back keep our fishing rights and get rid of the bloody blood sucking immigrants end off rant

  6. The withdrawal agreement was signed by Teresa may not. Boris Johnson which was probably drafted by the eu. And as May was ousted out of office at the general election it simply made that agreement null and void. It’s like my neighbour making a agreement on my behalf and then expect me to abide by it. It would be a joke to say the least

    1. The WA was signed by Boris and ratified by parliament.
It’s dog shit and should have been thrown in the bin.
I believe the EU treaties are NOT subject to international law as THEY police them via ECJ

  7. The EU always use the same old tactic, take negotiations right down to the wire and then bring in an eleventh hour answer(always in their favour) to conclude the deal:Well if Boris sticks to his guns which he has got to then he has outflanked Barmier and a no deal looks certain.Of course the old remainers and pro EU naysayers are out in force and will blow their fuses all over the media because they can see there dream of changing the minds of an elected parliament and going for a softest Brexit as possible going out of the proverbial window. What a shame, dear me ,never mind when you get in power in about twenty years time you may get a chance to put us back again into a by then defunct EU.But don’t hold your breath!!
