Saracens and England rugby star Billy Vunipola has stood his ground, refusing to take the Knee for Black Lives Matter. This was down to the Marxist organisation, “Burning churches and the bibles” and as a Christian Billy said he couldn’t support their actions by taking the Knee.
Billy said: “We were asked if we wanted to take a knee or not, and what I saw in terms of that movement [Black Lives Matter] was not aligned with what I believe in. They were burning churches and Bibles. I can’t support that,”
“Even though I am a person of colour, I’m still more a person of, I guess, Jesus,”
Black Lives Matter in the the US said “All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends” should “come down”, denouncing them as “a gross form white supremacy.”
Even though sport stars rightly refuses to take the Knee, what is still worrying is the promotion of this Marxist organisation by the sport entertainment industry from around the world. Sports in the US have seen a massive drop in viewership since different teams from different sports were told to take the knee.
Last month Orlando Magic basket ball star Jonathan Isaac refused to take the knee saying “I believe that Black Lives Matter. Kneeling while wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt doesn’t go hand-in-hand with supporting black lives,”
“I knew it was going to be a tough decision, one that people would have questioned. I’ve leaned on God’s word and his plan for me.”
