Yesterday we saw the continuation of illegal migrants crossing the English Channel, being picked up by the UK Border Force, and taken to Dover where coaches awaited them. This year since February we have seen over 4,100 illegal migrants making it to Britain that we know of.
Over the weekend there were multiple reports of beached migrant boats along the southern shore. Many are now questioning what the real figure of illegals coming to Britain is. The media are now covering this crisis in the Channel. Still, you can see the language used by the MSM is very selective and restricted to describe the real happenings on the southern shores.
The UK government went to Paris over the last week to present a migrant crisis plan to try and curb numbers, making the route into Britain via the English Channel non-viable. The French have said that if the UK demand more support in the Channel, Britain can foot the bill of £30 million.
With a video being released by lbc yesterday where it showed a people smuggler demanding £7000 per head to get into Britain, he said that the french turn a blind eye to this, and if the migrants make it halfway Britain will collect them and taken straight to Dover.
The question has got to be asked, are the French going to be using this situation in the Channel as a bargaining tool in the Brexit negotiations to gain access to our sovereign fishing waters, with favourable quotas. It’s striking to see that the French are quick to demand money for them to do their job of policing their own borders.
Yesterday Nigel Farage slammed the government after being asked about their handling of the Channel migrant crisis on Talk Radio. Nigel Farage said: “They all talk a big game, but they deliver nothing.”
“I promise you; nothing is going to change until we change the law in this country on those that can claim Refugee status and stay in this country.”
