British ministers met with the French government yesterday in a bid to get a plan up and running, hoping it will stop the heavy flow of migrants crossing the English Channel by boat to get into Britain illegally.
Conservative government Ministers Chris Philp said: “Policing borders is always a shared responsibility between two nation states and I think the discussions we had today were in exactly that spirit.
“Any two countries, whether they’re in the European Union or not, need to work together to police their borders and it is in precisely that spirit that France and the United Kingdom are working together to make sure this border is policed.”
He added: “We are looking at all the options that are necessary to make sure this route is completely cut down.”
With migrants crossing the English Channel to get into Britain Illegally, the government have had no other choice but to act accordingly to the anger shown from the public. But here’s the frustration, why did it have to take people to openly get angry for the politicians to act upon the very visible crisis that playing out. Why did they let it get to this point?.
