NEW VIDEO: UK trade negotiator David Frost confirms on camera, UK “WILL NOT” be accepting any request, nor will the UK extend negotiations beyond the year end deadline.

During the European Union Select Committee, UK trade negotiator David Frost was questioned in regards to whether or not the UK would be asking for an extension, and if not, would they accept an extension if the EU asked for one?

The committee chair asked: “It sounds like the June deadline, for an extension request is neither here, nor there. It won’t be used under any circumstances, is that true? Are there any circumstances during the negotiation that would prompt you to actually consider an extension request?”.
David Frost returned saying: “I work within the policy that’s set by the prime minister and the committee that sets policy in this area. The government’s position is pretty clear; we are not going to ask for an extension. And If the EU asks for one, we will not agree to that. So I think that’s just part of the framework. Now we’re working towards an end of year deadline.”

With the UK negotiator giving these words of reassurance, its becoming more certain that the UK is keeping to its exit date, leaving the EU on the 31st December deadline, regardless of a deal being in place.
